Lahore Journal of Economics

The Lahore Journal of Economics (LJE) is a biannual publication of the Lahore School of Economics and provides a unique perspective on issues critical to developing countries in general and South Asia in particular. The journal publishes articles on economics and its related fields and is widely circulated, both nationally and internationally. In addition to our biannual issues, the LJE also publishes a Special Edition which contains the papers and proceedings of the annual conference held at the Lahore School of Economics that focuses on current economic and business related issues pertaining to Pakistan.

The Lahore Journal of Economics is the top-ranked social science journal in Pakistan, and has been given the highest ranking by the Higher Education Commission of the Government of Pakistan. At present, we are listed on the Journal of Economic Literature (JEL), EBSCO, ProQuest, Library of Congress, and British Library databases.

The Lahore Journal of Economics invites researchers, policy makers and analysts to submit theoretical and empirical papers that explore and contribute to the understanding of various areas of economics. We welcome contributions of articles/conference papers as long as they have not been published elsewhere. The articles submitted will be subject to a double-blind review by the Editorial Board prior to being published.

The annual subscription charges are Pak Rs 600.00 for national or US $50 for overseas subscribers. If you wish to subscribe, please make out a cross cheque / bank draft in the name of the Lahore School of Economics and send it to Ms Nina Gera, Lahore School of Economics, 104-C-2, Gulberg III, Lahore, Pakistan.
